Q. Should I speak to my doctor about Hivamat treatment?

Most people will not need consent from their doctor for Hivamat electrostaic treatment to take place, however there are certain conditions that prevent the safe use of this treatment or that may require consent from your GP. These condtitions are outlined below. If you have any concerns whatsoever please contact Thera-people or refer your doctor to our information for GP's page.

Contraindications to DEEP OSCILLATION therapy:
(Hivamat treatment cannot be used under the following conditions)

  • Acute infections
  • Infectious skin diseases
  • Active tuberculosis
  • Untreated thromboses
  • Erysipelas
  • Untreated malignant diseases
  • Heart complaints and diseases
  • Cardiac pacemakers or other implanted stimulators
  • Pregnancy
  • Sensitiveness to electric fields
